Biography

Zaghouani, Habib

Habib Zaghouani, a Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, Child Health, and Neurology ¬†and J. Lavenia Edwards chair in pediatrics in the MU School of Medicine, studies the biology of T cells and their role in immunity and autoimmunity. His focus is on halting autoimmune diseases, improving children’s immune response to vaccines and understanding how immune cells learn to develop memory. He received his master’s degree from the Pasteur Institute and a doctorate from the University of Paris. He has been at MU since 2001.
