Biography

Arteaga, Irma

Irma Arteaga is from Peru and joined the Truman School of Public Affairs after earning a doctoral degree in Applied Economics and a master’s degree in Public Policy at the University of Minnesota. She has received the Jernberg Fellowship, the Mary and Robert Litterman Fellowship and the Graduate School Fellowship to support her studies.
Her research interests are in household behavior, economics of child development and education policy. Before joining the Truman School of Public Affairs at the University of Missouri, Arteaga worked for the Peruvian Congressional Research Center as the Chief of the Database Analysis Area. She also worked as an Economic Consultant and Researcher for other governmental organizations and an NGO. In addition, she was a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, where she taught Macroeconomics, Econometrics and Microeconomics.
