Ispa, Jean

Jean Ispa received her doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University in 1976. She has been on the faculty of the University of Missouri-Columbia since 1978 teaching courses on development across the life span, with special emphasis on the early years. In the past few years she has been involved in research on changing preschool practices in Russia and on the implications of Early Head Start for the well-being of low-income children and families. Dr. Ispa is one of the principal investigators on the Early Head Start project.
