Biography

Dr. Kim Selting grew up in Colorado where she attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins for her undergraduate studies. After a year abroad, Dr. Selting returned to Colorado State to enter the professional veterinary medicine program and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She spent a year in New York City at the Animal Medical Center, completing a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, before moving to St. Louis, Mo., to work in private practice and to be near family. After four years of private practice, including emergency work, Dr. Selting returned once again to Colorado State University to complete a residency in medical oncology. Her professional interests include early detection and treatment of primary and metastatic lung cancer, novel cancer therapies and targeted radiopharmaceuticals for bone cancer, and biomarkers of health and disease (primarily thymidine kinase, C-reactive protein, and vitamin D).
