Zanetti, Lisa

Zanetti’s research interests include critical theory, organizational dynamics, moral theory, gender and citizen participation. Her articles and essays have appeared in a range of publications, including American Review of Public Administration, American Behavioral Scientist, Administration & Society, Administrative Theory & Praxis, Human Relations, Public Voices and Public Productivity and Management Review. In addition, she has contributed several book chapters for works such as “Government is Us” (1998), “Research in Public Administration” (1998), “Papers on the Art of Anti-Administration” (1998) and “Handbook of Strategic Management” (2000). Zanetti currently serves as Book Review Editor of Administrative Theory & Praxis. She is an active member of the American Society for Public Administration, where she is the Region VII Liaison for the Section on Women in Public Administration; the Public Administration Theory Network; and the American Political Science Association. She has given numerous scholarly and professional presentations both in the U.S. and internationally. She was a recipient of the MU Graduate Professional Council’s Gold Chalk Award for excellence in advising in 1999-2000. Before entering academe, Zanetti was employed as an international trade specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission, and served as executive director of the Committee for Production Sharing, a trade association in Washington, D.C.
