Sutovsky, Peter

Peter Sutovsky, Ph.D., is an associate professor of animal sciences and clinical obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Missouri. For two decades he has studied mammalian spermatogenesis, fertilization, and pre-implantation embryonic development, with special emphasis on the gamete and zygotic ubiquitin system. He holds seven U.S. patents and was recently recognized as the inaugural recipient of the USDA-NRI Discovery Award. More recently he has received the CAFNR Distinguished Researcher Award and the Faculty Entrepreneur of the Year from the University of Missouri System. In high demand as a presenter, Dr. Sutovsky has been the invited plenary speaker at numerous international symposia in North and South America, Europe and Asia. His laboratory maintains active collaborations with scientists in USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Slovakia, Czech Republic, South Korea, India, Chile, Japan and Argentina.
