Huntze, Sharon

Dr. Sharon Huntze’s primary area of interest is preparing regular classroom teachers to understand and address student diversity in the regular classroom. This includes diversity in development, learning, and behavior. Additional areas of interest include behavior disorders, learning disabilities and ADHD.

Dr. Huntze’s primary teaching focus is undergraduate students in teacher preparation across all age levels and subject areas. She is a lead instructor for Phase I of the Teacher Development Program. During the regular academic year she works with students who are primarily sophomores. During the summer term, she focuses on post baccalaureate students in accelerated programs or on TACs (Temporary Alternative Certifications). As time permits, she also teachers in the graduate program in behavior disorders.
