James Tarr is a professor and associate division director in the Department of Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum in the MU College of Education. Tarr has been a faculty member at MU since 2000. His primary areas of research include: evaluation of curricular effectiveness; fidelity of implementation of curricular materials; and development of statistical and probabilistic reasoning. Tarr received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, a Master of the Arts from the University of Nebraska and his doctorate in mathematics education from Illinois State University.
