Lea Wood

Dr. Lea Wood is the director of the MUSSON Simulation Center and an assistant teaching professor at the Sinclair School of Nursing. She has health-care experience in the fields of women’s health, neonatal, bariatric, trauma, medical/surgical nursing, and primary care. She specializes in the application of smart technology in the health care industry, integration of simulation into the curriculum, and innovative instructional modalities for health care providers.

Dr. Wood received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in simulation as a training tool for intimate partner violence (IPV) and has developed a training program to better equip nurses in assisting victims of IPV. The Sinclair School of Nursing is the first program in the U.S. to implement such a simulation.
